The Fortress (often referred to as the castle) is what determines the durability of the territory it resides in. The higher the level, the higher the durability. When upgrading your fortress, your maximum monster count for that territory also increases. You can also increase the maximum monster count by building and upgrading a Monster Barracks. From your Fortress' details screen, the user may enter Confinement Mode, which is explained below.
The icon of your Fortress on the map will change when you reach LV5, and then again when you reach LV10.
Confinement Mode
"While in Confinement Mode, all attacks are nullified, but you cannot dispatch any units. When ON, Confinement mode will automatically activate every day at a time of your choosing. You can enter Confinement Mode starting 3 hours after selecting a time." ~Sega
